Waterproofing and roof renovation for larger business projects

PolyShield Roof

Coating commercial roof

Renovate an existing commercial roof with minimal disruption.

Waterproofing and roof renovation · project-specific system

PolyShield performs this

Waterproofing and roof renovation

A watertight, maintainable building envelope with less chance of leakage and consequential damage.

  1. 01Inspect roof structure, moisture and details
  2. 02Cleaning and repairing weak areas
  3. 03Apply primer and detail reinforcement
  4. 04Waterproof membrane delivered in a controlled manner

From damage picture to solution

Problem, cause and effect first visible.

01 / PROBLEM

Aged roof layers, open seams or vulnerable details allow water to enter.

02 / POSSIBLE CAUSES
  • UV and weather loads
  • Movement of seams and connections
  • Overdue maintenance or previous emergency repairs
03 / CONSEQUENCES OF DELAY

Moisture can damage insulation, interior, installations and business processes.

04 / POLYSHIELD ROUTE

A project-specific renovation of the substrate, details, primer and continuous membrane.

The cause is determined project-specifically. This structure is a decision route and not a remote diagnosis.

Business benefits

The value is not just in the new layer.

01

Lifespan

Maintain a technically suitable roof structure and postpone replacement.

02

Continuity

Organize renovation per work area around the use of the building.

03

Risk management

Include critical details before consequential damage occurs.

04

Maintenance

Create an inspectable and locally recoverable system route.

RISK OF DELAY

Delay can allow local defects to progress to wet insulation, larger repair zones and damage under the roof.

First have the size, cause, accessibility and desired planning assessed. We then compare repair, renovation and, where necessary, replacement without selling a standard solution in advance.

Have project assessed

Real projects, not stock evidence

Compare the system route with roof work carried out.

View initial situation, preparation, details and results. Project details are only mentioned when they are available in the file.

SUITABLE FOR

Business applications with a clear technical question.

  • Technically suitable existing roof covering
  • Larger planned renovations
  • Reflective white finish

System approach

01

Assess roof structure and moisture condition

02

Repair details, seams and defects

03

Apply primer and targeted reinforcement

04

White, UV-resistant membrane in a controlled manner

Application boundaries

Assess first.
Only then specify.

  • Clean wet insulation first
  • First repair loose roofing
  • Assess puddle formation and slope on a project-specific basis

Control profile

The division is broader than the application.

PolyShield assesses preparation, implementation and delivery as one coherent technical scope.

  1. 01Roof structure and moisture
  2. 02Details and drainage
  3. 03Adhesion and weather window

Can be processed quickly where responsible

Less downtime starts with the right system choice.

Where technically appropriate, PolyShield works with fast-reacting primers, two-component membranes and fast protective layers. The benefit lies not only in curing, but in a work plan in which preparation, recoating times and recommissioning are aligned in advance.

  1. 01

Fast-reacting 2K membranes where the surface and conditions permit

  2. 02

Fast drying primers to reduce waiting time between preparation and membrane

  3. 03

Phased implementation per roof zone so that the building remains usable

Technical roof coating

Coating is only responsible if the existing roof structure can continue to function.

Roof coating is a renovation method, not a way to hide wet insulation or loose roofing membranes. The existing structure must be sufficiently stable, dry and adhesive and critical details must remain permanently repairable.

With a promising structure, preservation can limit demolition, waste and business disruption. The quotation then describes not only square meters, but also preparation, primer, details, consumption, work zones and delivery control.

Business scenarios

Where this route can add value.

01

Aged bitumen

Stable roofing membranes with repairable seams, bubbles, edges and penetrations.

02

Concrete roofs

Mineral substrates with sufficient strength, appropriate slope and repairable cracks.

03

Local leakage zones

Targeted renovation when leakage route and boundaries can be technically determined.

04

Complete roof renovation

Planned lifespan extension with one controllable membrane structure.

Renovate or intervene first?

Three outcomes after the first roof assessment.

A / PROSPECTABLE

Liquid renovation

The roof structure is stable, sufficiently dry and the details can be technically repaired. Trial adhesion and system selection can follow.

B / CONDITIONAL

Restore locally first

Bad areas, seams, drains or details are replaced or repaired before a coherent membrane layer is applied.

C / DO NOT COAT

Further investigation or replacement

Wet insulation, large-scale detachment, structural damage or irreparable details make direct coating irresponsible.

Proof before promise

What should be visible in a commercial roof quotation.

  1. 01Existing roof structure and assessed zones
  2. 02Preparation, repairs and primer route
  3. 03Detailed approach for edges, drains and penetrations
  4. 04Membrane variant, consumption and layer structure
  5. 05Working window, weather limits and phasing
  6. 06Photo, material and delivery registration
01 / Required in advance

Project information

Substrate, surface, details, known damage, load, accessibility and desired planning.

02 / Technical selection

System direction

Primer, repair, main coat, detailing, anti-slip or finish are chosen as a coherent structure.

03 / Delivery

Checkpoints

Conditions, consumption, layer structure, photos and project-specific residual and maintenance points.
