PolyShield Large Surface Coating
Vapor permeable concrete and facade protection
Water-based elastic protection for large mineral surfaces, selected for water penetration, vapor transport, carbonation and cracking behavior.
PolyShield performs this
Large-scale coating application
Efficiently treat large business areas within one controlled preparation and application plan.
- 01Record the surface, size and environment
- 02Organize pre-treatment and shielding
- 03Perform details, primer and main application
- 04Register coverage, consumption and remaining points
From damage picture to solution
Problem, cause and effect first visible.
- Many square meters or profile
- Scattered damage and details
- Limited renovation window or business continuity
An incorrect implementation method leads to unnecessary downtime, fog risk or insufficient coverage.
Select airless, roles or hybrid per work area and centrally manage preparation, partners and control.
Business benefits
The value is not just in the new layer.
Economies of scale
Limit work on suitably large main surfaces.
Planning
Connect material, work areas and recoating times in advance.
Continuity
Design phasing around production and building use.
One direction
Organize partner work and coating application within one technical plan.
Delay can allow damage to spread and make it more difficult to carry out maintenance within a short and manageable renovation window.
First have the size, cause, accessibility and desired planning assessed. We then compare repair, renovation and, where necessary, replacement without selling a standard solution in advance.
Have project assessed →SUITABLE FOR
Business applications with a clear technical question.
- Concrete commercial facades
- Parking facilities and utilities
- Public and civil constructions
System approach
Include subsurface, environment and business risk
Record pre-treatment and partner work
Perform primer, details and airless or hybrid application
Register consumption, coverage, layer build-up and residual points
Application boundaries
Assess first.
Only then specify.
- Airless only if there is a manageable overspray risk
- Blasting and specialist pre-treatment usually via partners
- Always confirm system choice and capacity in a project-specific manner
Control profile
The division is broader than the application.
PolyShield assesses preparation, implementation and delivery as one coherent technical scope.
- 01Substrate and shielding
- 02Ventilation and mist control
- 03Coverage and consumption
Can be processed quickly where responsible
Less downtime starts with the right system choice.
Where technically appropriate, PolyShield works with fast-reacting primers, two-component membranes and fast protective layers. The benefit lies not only in curing, but in a work plan in which preparation, recoating times and recommissioning are aligned in advance.
- 01
Efficient application on larger surfaces with mist control and shielding
- 02
Prime and finish in logically planned work steps
- 03
Fast delivery without skipping coverage and control
Functional coating selection
Protect concrete without blindly closing off vapor transport.
A vapour-permeable elastic coating can limit water penetration and CO₂ load while allowing water vapor to continue to migrate. Concrete quality, cracks, chloride load, carbonation and previously applied layers determine whether this route is technically justified.
PolyShield does not select a coating based on one commercial property. Substrate, environmental conditions, application method, dry layer thickness, maintenance and current technical documentation together form the admission framework.
Project control
Four decision points before large-scale application.
Subsurface investigation
Record strength, porosity, moisture, cracks and existing layers per representative zone.
Concrete repair
Treat loose concrete and active reinforcement corrosion sustainably before applying the protective coating.
Performance profile
Select water absorption, CO₂ diffusion, water vapor permeability and crack bridging project-specifically.
Airless work plan
Determine shielding, accessibility, layer thickness and control points for large facade or concrete surfaces.
No universal solution
A test area is part of the technical selection.
Consumption and processing speed only follow after assessing roughness, suction, geometry, accessibility and required performance. Pre-treatment or specialist repair can be carried out by a selected partner company under pre-determined transfer criteria.
Assess the first project fit with the Spray Scan →Project information
Substrate, surface, details, known damage, load, accessibility and desired planning.
System direction
Primer, repair, main coat, detailing, anti-slip or finish are chosen as a coherent structure.
Checkpoints
Conditions, consumption, layer structure, photos and project-specific residual and maintenance points.
