PolyShield Selective Systems

When a standard solution does not go far enough technically.

We investigate selective system routes for active leaks, aggressive environments, special emission requirements and critical concrete structures. Not as a product catalogue, but as a technical admission program.

Have your project pre-selected
SELECTION PRINCIPLE / 01

For us, exclusive means: demonstrably suitable for the project.

A technology is only proposed when the subsurface, load, detailing, implementation conditions and current technical documentation together provide sufficient certainty. Availability alone is never a selection criterion.

PS-SP-01Instant leak control

PU injection for active leaks

Water-reactive injection technology for leaking cracks, joints and cavities where surface treatment alone does not reach the cause.

Relevant project types

  • Cellars and lift wells
  • Tunnels and parking garages
  • Underground concrete structures
Distinction
Reacts in the construction and can also be selected with active water flow.
Admission limit
Crack movement, water route, structural cause and accessibility must first be determined.

PS-SP-02Integrated concrete concept

Crystalline concrete waterproofing

A mineral system route that uses the pore structure of concrete for waterproofing on the positive or negative water side.

Relevant project types

  • Foundations and cellar walls
  • Water reservoirs
  • New concrete as an integral route
Distinction
Can be investigated as a surface treatment or, in new construction, as a project-specific concrete component.
Admission limit
Concrete quality, crack width, detailing and water pressure determine whether this route is suitable.

PS-SP-03Accelerated mineral route

Fast curing mineral waterproofing

Flexible two-component waterproofing for projects where a mineral build-up and a shorter implementation window are required together.

Relevant project types

  • Underground constructions
  • Basins and technical rooms
  • Under tile or finished floors
Distinction
Available variants with recycled raw materials are only selected based on demonstrable documentation.
Admission limit
Sustainability claims require current EPD and product-specific substantiation; speed remains dependent on climate and layer structure.

PS-SP-04Low-emission high-performance route

Zero-VOC cold-applied 2K polyurea

A solvent-free, cold-processable two-component waterproofing technology with limited emission requirements and a fast response.

Relevant project types

  • Indoor and semi-indoor spaces
  • Commercial roofs and structures
  • Projects with a short renovation window
Distinction
Combines a high-quality elastic membrane with a route for projects where VOC loads are a major factor.
Admission limit
Zero-VOC does not replace a safety plan; ventilation, application conditions and the entire system structure remain decisive.

PS-SP-05Chemically loaded mineral system

Sulfate-resistant waterproofing

Mineral waterproofing for structures exposed to sulphates, wastewater or aggressive soil and process conditions.

Relevant project types

  • Wastewater basins
  • Sewer and treatment structures
  • Foundations in sulphate-rich environments
Distinction
Aimed at a load profile where regular cement-based waterproofing is not obviously sufficient.
Admission limit
Medium, concentration, temperature, exposure time and cleaning regime must be recorded specifically for the project.

PS-SP-06Specialist safety option

Fire retardant 2K polyurea

A specialist cold applied membrane route for industrial projects where waterproofing and proven fire performance are required together.

Relevant project types

  • Industrial buildings
  • Energy and technical installations
  • Projects with special fire class
Distinction
Not presented as a generic property, but only as a certified variant within the precisely tested structure.
Admission limit
The required class, substrate, layer thickness and Dutch or Belgian project requirement must correspond with current certification.

Technical admission

Documentation before positioning.

For each project-specific selection we check the current technical basis. This way we prevent a special product feature being promised outside the tested system structure.

  1. 01TDS and SDS

    Processing, security, restrictions and storage.

  2. 02DoP, ETA and certification

Performance only within the described structure.

  3. 03EPD and emission data

Make environmental claims verifiable and product specific.

  4. 04Delivery and project logistics

Minimum order quantity, delivery time, batch and application capacity.

Environmental performance

Zero-VOC is valuable, but never the whole story.

Where possible, we also assess service life, repairability, material consumption, packaging, waste flows and available EPD information. A longer useful life and targeted renovation can be more important than one individual environmental characteristic.

Claims about recycled raw materials, emissions or chemical resistance will only be used if the current documentation of the ultimately selected system variant confirms this.
