NEW BUILD / BELOW GRADE

The water side and concrete condition determine the route.

Underground waterproofing doesn't start with a coating name. The direction of water pressure, crack movement, concrete quality, accessibility and ventilation determine whether a mineral, crystalline, injection-assisted or zero-VOC 2K construction makes sense.

Activities

Cellars and lift wells as a complete system scope.

Underground waterproofing doesn't start with a coating name. The direction of water pressure, crack movement, concrete quality, accessibility and ventilation determine whether a mineral, crystalline, injection-assisted or zero-VOC 2K construction makes sense.

  • Larger basement walls and floors
  • Lift wells within apartment buildings
  • Technical wells
  • Foundation surfaces
  • Underground parking facilities
PROBLEM → RISK → SOLUTION

The technique must be clear before implementation.

01 / PROBLEM

A system applied on the wrong side or on moving, inadequately prepared concrete combats the visible effect but not the technical cause.

02 / PROJECT RISK
  • Negative water pressure behind the layer
  • Active cracks and leaking seams
  • Insufficient adhesion to young or contaminated concrete
  • Unsafe emissions in confined space
  • Restore after installations have been installed
03 / POLYSHIELD ROUTE

We start with the cause, water side and concrete condition and then select a demonstrable system route. Active injection and heavy recovery are organized with partners where necessary.

Project value

What the complete system delivers.

  1. 01Technology suitable for water pressure
  2. 02Low- or zero-VOC route possible
  3. 03Early control before installations
  4. 04Relationship between repair and waterproofing
  5. 05No general product claim without proof
TECHNICAL ROUTE

Four manageable phases.

01

Cause and water side

Groundwater, construction moisture, leaking joint or crack are technically distinguished from each other.

02

Concrete and repair

Hollow zones, gravel nests, cracks and bilges are included in a recovery and detailed plan.

03

System route

Mineral, crystalline or 2K membrane technology depends on pressure direction, moisture and use.

04

Control and protection

The layer is checked before installations, walls or finishing restrict access.

Release criteria

When the system can — and cannot yet — start.

Constructive movement

Working cracks and seams must first be assessed structurally.

Active water

Ongoing leakage may require an injection or temporary water stop before surface sealing is possible.

Confined space

Ventilation, emissions and safe processing are part of the system choice.

QUALITY FILE

Don't just apply.
Also deliver demonstrably.

  • Water and cause hypothesis
  • Concrete and detail inventory
  • Provisional system route
  • Partner demarcation for injection or recovery
  • Inspection and delivery file

FOR THE CONSTRUCTION TEAM

Information for every decision maker.

Main contractor

Early clarity before installations and finishing close the construction.

Constructor or consultant

Clear boundary between structural repair and waterproofing system.

Building owner

A solution based on cause and accessibility, not just the visible moisture.

Technical questions

Frequently asked questions.

Is waterproofing possible on the inside?+

Sometimes yes, but negative water pressure has different requirements than sealing on the water side. This must be assessed on a project-specific basis.

Do you carry out injection work yourself?+

Injection work can be organized as a specialist partner scope when required within a larger waterproofing job.

Is a coating sufficient for a structural crack?+

No. Structural or working cracks first require an assessment and an appropriate detailed or repair plan.
