From product name to performance requirement
A useful specification describes what the system must be able to do, under what circumstances it is installed and what supporting documents are required. This allows a construction team to compare solutions fairly without committing to one brand at an early stage.
- Water tax and usage tax
- Substrate, residual moisture and tensile strength
- Crack bridging and detailing
- Walkability and available construction window
- Inspection, registration and transfer
Interfaces determine the result
Slopes, drains, sills, facades, installations and protective layers often fall under different parties. The boundary between scopes must therefore be visible on the drawing and in the work plan.
A hold point before covering prevents a waterproof layer from disappearing uncontrollably under paving, insulation or a roof garden.
Speed without loss of quality
Fast-response 2K systems can shorten schedules, but only when preparation and release are aligned. The benefit lies in a complete process route: substrate, primer, membrane, control and follow-up construction.
- Determine drying time and recoating period
- Reserve a weather and recovery window
- Create reference planes for repetitive work
- Register batch, consumption and conditions
