NEW BUILD / PODIUM WATERPROOFING

Verifiably waterproof before the system disappears from view.

Under paving, greenery or a residential deck, repair after completion is expensive. That is why PolyShield treats waterproofing as a controlled construction phase with clear demarcation, detail registration and control before the protective layer is applied.

Activities

Stage decks and roof gardens as a complete system scope.

Under paving, greenery or a residential deck, repair after completion is expensive. That is why PolyShield treats waterproofing as a controlled construction phase with clear demarcation, detail registration and control before the protective layer is applied.

  • Courtyard gardens above parking garages
  • Roof gardens at apartments
  • Planters and raised borders
  • Podium decks with paving
  • Stay decks above commercial spaces
PROBLEM → RISK → SOLUTION

The technique must be clear before implementation.

01 / PROBLEM

Once drainage, insulation, greenery or paving has been installed, the membrane and critical details are barely accessible.

02 / PROJECT RISK
  • Hidden leakage above user space
  • Damage due to subsequent disciplines
  • Unclear connection to drains
  • Root loading without appropriate documentation
  • No check before covering
03 / POLYSHIELD ROUTE

We phase details, membrane, quality control and protection as separate release steps and digitally record the condition before capping.

Project value

What the complete system delivers.

  1. 01Seamlessly over complex geometry
  2. 02Check before inaccessibility
  3. 03Less recovery risk after delivery
  4. 04Clear interface with green and paving package
  5. 05Digital detailed file
TECHNICAL ROUTE

Four manageable phases.

01

Design and demarcation control

Slopes, compartments, drains, joints and connecting disciplines are laid out in advance.

02

Details and primer

The substrate and all vertical connections are released before the flat membrane.

03

2K membrane

A continuous layer is applied with extra control in critical areas.

04

Test and protect

After inspection or agreed watertightness check, an appropriate protective layer follows.

Release criteria

When the system can — and cannot yet — start.

Access details

All details must be accessible and ready before the waterproofing phase starts.

Root resistance

This performance is only included if the chosen complete structure is demonstrably suitable.

Follow-up disciplines

Protection and transfer to gardener, roofer or paver are recorded in writing.

QUALITY FILE

Don't just apply.
Also deliver demonstrably.

  • Demarcation and detail overview
  • Work area and inspection plan
  • Photos before covering
  • Registration of membrane consumption
  • Transfer document for subsequent discipline

FOR THE CONSTRUCTION TEAM

Information for every decision maker.

Developer

Lower chance of costly hidden defects after delivery.

Main contractor

Clear hold points and transfer between waterproofing, greenery and paving.

Advisor

Testable system boundaries and supporting documents for the chosen structure.

Technical questions

Frequently asked questions.

Is every liquid waterproofing root resistant?+

No. Root resistance must be demonstrable for the chosen product and system structure; we do not adopt that property as a general claim.

Can the waterproofing be covered directly?+

Only after the agreed inspection, repair of any residual points and release. The protective layer must then prevent damage from subsequent work.

Who makes drainage and green construction?+

This can be carried out by specialized partners or other construction parties. The interfaces and responsibilities must be clear in advance.
