With a liquid roof system, the classification can be related to carrier, insulation, existing roof covering, primer, membrane, consumption and finish. A technically similar coating on a different surface is therefore not automatically covered.
Always request the classification report and the description of the tested structure.
The suffix belongs to the claim
The addition t1, t2, t3 or t4 refers to different test methods. A classification must therefore always be communicated with the correct suffix.
The test methods have different fire loads and cannot be interchanged without technical substantiation.

Existing commercial roofs require additional inspection
During renovation, the existing layer is part of the actual construction. Material, mounting, insulation and previous repairs may deviate from the tested reference structure.
Therefore, before a fire performance claim, it is checked whether the classification actually covers the proposed renovation route.
How BROOF should be included in a quotation
A good quotation specifies the test suffix, the system variant and the conditions under which the classification applies. If verification is still ongoing, this must remain visible.
A general BROOF logo without a report, suffix or structure description does not provide sufficient decision information.
Product proof and project proof
The classification report substantiates a tested system structure. The project file then substantiates which materials, quantities and conditions have been registered at work.
Together, these documents provide a much stronger quality chain than a certificate badge on the homepage.
