Product, system and project are three levels

The product level describes a material. The system level includes cooperating components. The project level adds the actual construction, detailing and execution.

A reliable claim always states at what level the evidence applies.

Common thinking errors

A CE marking is not a universal suitability mark. A BROOF classification does not automatically apply to every surface. A technical lifespan category is not an unconditional project guarantee.

A tested membrane can also fail with the wrong primer, insufficient preparation or too low consumption.

  • No logo without a source
  • No achievement without variation
  • No classification without structure
  • No guarantee without conditions

The value of a project passport

The project passport records which variant, substrate, primer, quantity and conditions were actually applied.

This creates a chain of control from technical document to implementation and maintenance.

Important

This explanation is general and does not constitute project-specific system advice. Subsurface investigation, tax and official system documentation remain decisive.
