What CE means for construction products
CE refers to performance assessed and declared according to the applicable European technical specification. It is not a ranking in which every CE product automatically has the same quality or application.
Therefore, always read the accompanying performance declaration.
The voluntary ETA route
For a product not fully covered by a harmonized standard, a manufacturer can apply for an ETA based on an applicable EAD through a Technical Assessment Body.
The ETA contains product-specific performance information and intended use.
Translation to the project
The designer and executor must determine whether declared performance is appropriate for the substrate, load, details and regulations of the concrete roof.
